What is TESA/microTESE?

TESA (Testicular Sperm Aspiration) and microTESA (Microsurgical Testicular Sperm Extraction) are techniques used to retrieve sperm directly from the testes in men with severe male infertility.

Steps Involved in the Procedure:

  • Initial Evaluation – Evaluation of male fertility.
  • Local Anesthesia – Ensuring a pain-free experience.
  • Sperm Retrieval – Extraction of sperm using a fine needle (TESA) or microsurgical approach (MicroTESA).
  • Sperm Processing – Collected sperm is analyzed and prepared for use in  ICSI.
